Why a Green Blog?
What’s the point of writing a blog with green topics? Isn’t that just preaching to the choir? To some degree, yes. But I recall a years-ago conversation with a friend about the topic of frugality, specifically of paper towels. She told me that she’s very conscious of her paper towel consumption; something we shared in common I assured her. In the years since, I think back to that conversation every single time I use a paper towel. I tear them into small bits and set them aside to dry if they’re merely wet but not dirty. I bought reusable and washable paper towel substitutes and cut them into smaller pieces too.
Had I not had the conversation with my friend I’m not sure that I would have changed my behavior to the extent that I did. So yes, if you’re reading this, you’re already interested, and hopefully you’ll be inspired to add something new to your green lifestyle. And I promise to try not to sound sanctimonious when I preach to the choir!
